Our Story

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

My name is Paul, And I am the father of three adopted sons, and this is our story! I have spent my professional life as a minister, and a health care provider working in Psychiatric / Mental Health and Addictions. During my years, I have had the great opportunity to work with many young men and women who had either developmental disabilities / mental illness or substance abuse disease. I have had the privilege to adopt three of these individuals and become their dad. In early 2025, as the economy and politics of our country changed, I became very concerned about the future of my boys.  I realized that if something were to happen to me, I wanted my boys to not be depended on a society or a government to take care of them.  That is when we decided to sell the house - and move to a farm. Together, we would design a future in which my sons could sustain themselves.  We would not depend on technology, but on our own abilities, disabilities, and skills to accomplish all that we needed. My sons were excited by all the possibilities that farm living would have to offer.  This would give them a chance to contribute to their own growth and development. While none of us had any real farm / animal husbandry / mechanical experience - we were determined to make it work. Together we have cleared out land, built or re-built barns, coops, and buildings, and plowed and planted fields. Our animal husbandry started with a gift of 6 - 1 week old Purple Orpington chicks (hens), A few weeks later we acquired 4 ducklings and 6 turkey poults. Shortly after that, we would rescue two Nigerian Dwarf Goats from our local Humane Society (one of which was expecting).  The opportunity would then present itself for us to purchase a small existing herd of 4 yearling does, Then, our big girl would give birth to twins. This would currently give us a herd of 8 goats. The birth of the kids gave us the present of fresh goat milk. From that, I and the boys have learned to make cheese, butter, whey, and butter milk.  We also realized this creamy liquid was a gift, that could give us the opportunity to develop a product that could help a lot of people and also be a source of income for the boys' future. As a licensed Psychiatric / Mental Health provider, and also certified in Functional Medicine, I knew the importance of Aromatic essential oils in the management of mental health. I also knew the benefit of goat milk lotion to great skin health. So, I got the idea to combine the two. Utilizing my love of chemistry, I set about developing a product that would enhance the skin health - while at the same time boosting mental health with the addition of Aromatic essential Oils. In our store you will find the products we have created. Each product is named after the goats on our farm. We encourage you to follow our blog - and see our progress.  Also keep checking out the store of new items we would be adding as we grow together.
